Department of Health – COVID-19 screening in Raton

The New Mexico Department of Health will be providing local COVID-19 testing for individuals who are sick (but not needing immediate medical attention) or who have recently traveled.

Where & When

Screening will be held Tuesday, March 31st at Raton High School on 1535 Tiger Circle in Raton from 10 am to 3 pm or while supplies last.

Who Should Come

Priority testing will be provided for the following:

  • People experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 infection: fever, cough, or shortness of breath;
  • People who have traveled from Europe (to include Italy), China, Iran, South Korea, Japan, Seattle, New York City, San Francisco and Portland

Additional Information

It is critical to know before attending these screenings that those without symptoms of COVID-19 infection do not need testing for COVID-19. We are currently in allergy season, and having allergy symptoms such as sneezing, and itchy eyes, nose or throat is not an indication for testing.

Please try to limit two people per vehicle to avoid unnecessary risk for viral spread. No insurance is required for screening.
